YEREVAN. – Armenian Ambassador to the United States, Tatul Margaryan—who is also simultaneously appointed as Ambassador to Mexico—, paid a working visit to Mexico from October 14 to Friday.
On Thursday, Margaryan presented his credentials to Mexican President Felipe Calderón and, subsequently, they held a private talk, Armenian MFA press service informs.
But this meeting was preceded by the Armenian ambassador’s discussions with several Mexican senior officials, during which the Mexican party expressed its satisfaction that Armenia has again designated an ambassador to Mexico adding that the friendly and balanced policy will continue. In his turn, Ambassador Margaryan assured that Armenia is determined to deepen bilateral ties.
In addition, Armenia’s ambassador met with the management of Mexico’s state-run ProMexico organization, whose objective is to stimulate Mexico’s foreign trade.
Also, Ambassador Tatul Margaryan was warmly received by representatives from Mexico’s Armenian community.
