Prosperous Armenia Party member Vartan Oskanian is likely to be charged on Monday, HyeBiz has learned through a press released sent out by Mr. Oskanian’s Civilitas Foundation. This was confirmed by Panorama.am who spoke with Sona Truzyan, a spokesperson for Armenian Prosecutor General. Mr. Oskanian is due for questioning on Monday, October 8.
On October 2, the Armenian National Assembly approved the petition by Armenian Prosecutor General to strip Vartan Oskanian of immunity by a vote of 64 to 6.
Aghvan Hopsepyan gave assurances that Vartan Oskanian will not be arrested, the investigation will be transparent, and the results of the investigation will be available to public.
