YEREVAN. – The Kansas National Guard delegation headed by the Adjutant General of Kansas Lee Tafanelli is in Yerevan on working visit from Sept. 24 to Sept. 28 within the framework of Armenia-Kansas cooperation project.
Armenian Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan and the chief of staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia Yuri Khachaturov received Tafanelli during his visit.
The Armenian MOD stressed high the cooperation level between the National Guard and the Ministry and paid importance to developing cooperation in demining, military capacity, NATO peacekeeping brigade assessment process within the Operational Capabilities Concept, consulting assistance and other directions.
The sides also touched upon regional security and other issues of bilateral interests. In addition, Armenia-Kansas cooperation project for 5 years will be elaborated.
