STEPANAKERT. –September 2, 2012 marked the 21st anniversary of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic’s (NKR) independence, and, as every year, festivities will be held in this connection.
Traditional celebratory events will be held and, subsequently, a huge concert will take place and fireworks will light up the sky, NKR President’s Press Secretary Davit Babayan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
To note, Armenia’s official delegation, which is led by National Assembly (NA) Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan, headed Saturday to NKR capital city Stepanakert, to attend the formal ceremonies marking the 21st anniversary of NKR’s independence.
The official delegation comprises Deputy PM Armen Gevorgyan, NA Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov, capital city Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan, Agriculture Minister Sergo Karapetyan, Gegharkunik Regional Governor Rafik Grigoryan, Syunik Regional Governor Surik Khachatryan, several MPs, and other officials.
