Armenia’s Prosecutor-General Aghvan Hovsepyan has presented a petition to the National Assembly to permit the involvement of lawmaker Vartan Oskanian as a defendant in an ongoing criminal investigation into alleged money laundering by a think tank that he formerly headed.
This information was confirmed to several media by Prosecutor-General’s Office spokesperson Sona Truzyan today. She explained, however, that for now the matter does not concern stripping Oskanian of his parliamentary immunity, nor has it anything to do with arresting him, reports A1+.
