“Tennis ark 2012″ international tournament was launched in Yerevan at “Orange Tennis Club” on October 26.A total of sixty participants comprising politicians, businessmen, cosmonauts, physicians, composers and many other representatives of art from Armenia and Russia competed at the two day and “doubles only” event, which was held in the Republic of Armenia for the first time.
The tournament was held under the high patronage of Serzh Sargsyan, President of the Republic of Armenia. “Tennis ark 2012″ friendly meeting was organize by the efforts of Tennis Federation of Armenia, “Orange Tennis” club, CIS Institute, ” Big hat ” tennis club and ” Cosmonauts tennis club”.
As the president of RA said during the opening ceremony, the tennis ark tournament is being held for those people who are not indifferent towards noble struggle of sport, which will turn a real holiday not only for the participants but also for the audience.
The awarding and closing ceremony of the tournament took place on October 27. After the closing ceremony of the tournament, the guests from Russia were received by the Catholicos of All Armenians, Garegin 2nd, at the Holy See of Saint Etchmiadzin.
