The New Wave 2012 Song Contest has already ended and the winner was Russian singer Niloo.
The top prize of 50,000 euros and the Crystal Wave was awarded to her. Second place and 30,000 euros went to the Italian Costanzo Del Pinto, 20,000 Euros was awarded to Mary Yaremchuk from Ukraine who finished in third place. The prize from Love Radio was awarded to the Russian group IOWA.
Musician and singer Suren Arustamyan, who represented Armenia at the “New Wave 2012” Song Contest final, was not among the top-three prize winners and was in the eight place. To note, 16 performers from 14 countries were competing at the event. The contestants competed in three categories: International Hit, National Hit, and Original Song. And international hits were performed, during which Arustamyan sang Eric Clapton’s “Change The World”, “My love to you” and armenian song and during the third day “Next to you”.
At a gala concert to mark the closing of the competition were Nikolay Baskov, Stas Mikhailov, Valeria and Irina Allegrova, Joseph Kobzon, Igor Sharp and others.
This year as a guest in New Wave 2012 was Lara Fabian who sang “Trouver l’amour, la vie”, le sens” and “Je t’aime encore”.
